Sculpture Decorated with Croatian Cravat

A special decorating ceremony took place at UN Headquarters and the "Peace Monument" sculpture was decorated with the Croatian cravat. The event symbolically marks the beginning of the Croatian Presidency of the Council of the European Union and was organized by the Permanent Mission of Croatia to the United Nations.
The "Peace Monument" sculpture by the Croatian sculptor Antun Augustincic is a 5.5 metre high bronze sculpture of a woman who is riding a horse with an olive branch in one hand and a globe in the other.
