Security Council Extends Targeted Yemen Sanctions

The Security Council adopted resolution 2511 (2020) on Yemen, extending the asset freeze and travel ban imposed in 2014 on individuals or entities threatening peace, security and stability in Yemen. The resolution was adopted with 13 votes in favour and two abstentions (China and Russia).
