SRSG for Children and Armed Conflict Launches ACT to Protect Campaign in South Sudan
Virginia Gamba, Special Representative of the Secretary-General for Children and Armed Conflict, speaks at the launch of the campaign ""ACT to Protect Children Affected by Conflict"" in Juba, South Sudan. ACT to Protect is a global campaign to generate greater awareness and action to protect children affected by war. Ms. Gamba also met with Taban Deng Gai, Vice President of the Republic of South Sudan, and pleaded for the Government to give children a chance, ""to grow free from fear and war"".
