General Assembly Meets on Implementation of SIDS Accelerated Modalities of Action

Ruth de Miranda (right), Director of the General Assembly and Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) Affairs Division, addresses the General Assembly meeting on the implementation of the SIDS Accelerated Modalities of Action (SAMOA) Pathway and the Mauritius Strategy for the further implementation of the programme of action for the sustainable development of small island developing states. The meeting also addressed sexual exploitation and abuse with regard to the implementation of a zero-tolerance policy, and financing of United Nations peacekeeping operations.
