Security Council Hears Reports on Sudan and South Sudan

Juan Ramón de la Fuente Ramirez, Permanent Representative of Mexico to the United Nations and President of the Security Council for the month of November, chairs the Security Council meeting on the situations in the Sudan and South Sudan. At right is Hasmik Egian, Director of the Security Council Affairs Division of the Department of Political and Peacebuilding Affairs (DPPA).

The Council unanimously adopted Resolution 2606 (2021) extending until 15 December 2021 the mandate of the United Nations Interim Security Force for Abyei (UNISFA) as set out in paragraphs 1 and 2 of resolution 2575 (2021).
