Secretary-General Visits Colombia on Fifth Anniversary of Final Peace Agreement

Secretary-General António Guterres is visiting Colombia from 23-24 November to celebrate the Fifth Anniversary of the signing of the landmark 2016 Final Peace Agreement between the Government of Colombia and the former FARC-EP. The Secretary-General is there to take stock of the major achievements of the peace process as well as the outstanding challenges.

Mr Guterres (right) meets with Iván Duque Márquez, President of the Republic of Colombia, before their trip to the Antioquia Province to see the advancement of the peace process in Llano Grande, one of the camps of the former combatants.
