Security Council Meets on Situation Between Iraq and Kuwait
Mansour Ayyad Al-Otaibi (right), Permanent Representative of the State of Kuwait to the United Nations, greets Vassily Nebenzia, Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the United Nations and President of the Security Council for the month of February, ahead of the Security Council meeting on the situation between Iraq and Kuwait.
The Council unanimously adopted resolution 2621 (2022) on the United Nations Compensation Commission (UNCC). The Council decided that the Commission has fulfilled its mandate and reaffirms that Iraq has fulfilled its international obligations to compensate all claimants awarded compensation by the Commission.
