Ameirah Obaid Mohamed Obaid Alhefeiti (left), Deputy Permanent Representative of the United Arab Emirates to the United Nations and President of the Security Council for the month of March, speaks with Hasmik Egian, Director of the Security Council Affairs Division of the Department of Political and Peacebuilding Affairs (DPPA), ahead of the Security Council meeting on the situation in Afghanistan. The Council heard a report of the Secretary-General on the situation in Afghanistan and its implications for international peace and security.
