General Assembly Meets on Rights of Indigenous Peoples and Strengthening of UN System

Abdulla Shahid (left), President of the seventy-sixth session of the United Nations General Assembly, chairs the General Assembly meeting on rights of indigenous peoples and strengthening of the United Nations system. The Assembly took action on a draft resolution on a standing mandate for a General Assembly debate when a veto is cast in the Security Council.
