Secretary-General Attends Youth and Innovation Forum on Side of 2022 UN Ocean Conference

Secretary-General António Guterres (centre left at podium) attends the Youth and Innovation Forum on the side of the 2022 UN Ocean Conference, held at Carcavelos Beach, outside of Lisbon, in Portugal. To the right of the Secretary-General is Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, President of the Portuguese Republic, and Monica Kathina Juma, Cabinet Secretary for Energy of Kenya.
The Forum is a platform for advancing ocean action and implementing youth-led solutions based on SDG 14 targets. It is seeking to help young entrepreneurs and innovators scale up their initiatives, projects and ideas through professional training and matchmaking with mentors, investors, the private sector and government officials.
