Security Council Meets on Maintenance of International Peace and Security

Nicolas de Rivière, Permanent Representative of France to the United Nations and President of the Security Council for the month of September, chairs the Security Council meeting on maintenance of international peace and security (Libya). The Council unanimously adopted resolution 2652(2022) condemning all acts of migrant smuggling and human trafficking into, through and from the Libyan territory and off the coast of Libya, which undermine further the process of stabilization of Libya and endanger the lives of hundreds of thousands of people.
