Head of MINUSMA Visits Ménaka Region in Mali

El-Ghassim Wane (second from left), Special Representative of the Secretary-General and Head of the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in Mali (MINUSMA), visits the Ménaka region in Mali, together with officials from the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR) and the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA).

Mr. Wane attends a presentation of the model of the village Espoir, built with the help of several UN Agencies to accommodate the many internally displaced persons who flock to the town of Ménaka as they flee jihadist exactions.
