Head of MINUSMA Visits Ménaka Region in Mali

A view of the Naata "Village of Hope" pilot project, built on the outskirts of the town of Ménaka, to accommodate the many internally displaced persons who have fled from the jihadist exactions.

El-Ghassim Wane (not pictured), Special Representative of the Secretary-General and Head of the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in Mali (MINUSMA), visited the Ménaka region in Mali, together with officials from the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR) and the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA).
