Special Commemoration of 75th Anniversary of Nakba

Cheikh Niang, Chair of the Committee on the Exercise of the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People and Permanent Representative of Senegal to the United Nations, addresses the special commemoration of the 75th anniversary of the Nakba held in the General Assembly Hall.

Palestinian singer Sanaa Moussa, an "Ambassador of Palestinian heritage", performs during the event. A musical composition about the Nakba entitled "Bright Colors on a Dark Canvas" by Naseem Alatrash, Grammy Award-nominee cellist, and composer, is also performed accompanied by the New York Arabic Orchestra and directed by Eugene Friesen, four-time Grammy Award Winner.
