Peace Bell Ceremony in Observance of International Day of Peace

Secretary-General António Guterres speaks during the Peace Bell ceremony held at UN headquarters in observance of the 42nd Anniversary of the International Day of Peace (21 September).

"Peace is the most fundamental job we have. And it is not solely the responsibility of governments or Presidents. Peace is a job that belongs to each and every one of us," said the Secretary-General.

The theme of the International Day of Peace of 2023 is "Actions for peace: Our ambition for the #GlobalGoals".
