What We do
The United Nations was founded in 1945 as an effort to prevent the horrors of World War II from happening again. Since its beginnings, the Organization has grown to include 193 Member States and has evolved to meet the challenges of our ever-changing world. Yet one thing has remained the same, the UN is the only place where all Member States can gather together to address common problems and find shared solutions that may benefit all of humanity.
These collections illuminate the overarching goals that guide the work of the United Nations.
