At Luncheon in Honour of Board of Trustees of the Ford Foundation

Members of the Board of Trustees of the Ford Foundation were the guests of honor at a luncheon given today by Acting Secretary-General U Thant in the Penthouse of the new Library Building at United Nations Headquarters. The Ford Foundation made a gift of $6,200,000 for the construction and equipment of the new Library which was formally dedicated later in the afternoon at a ceremony in the General Assembly Hall.
Addressing the gathering at the luncheon is Mr. Bo Beskow (standing at left), the well-known Swedish artist who painted the huge mural (26' wide by 14' high), a section of which can be seen in the background.
