Six childhood friends became separated when they fled their native Eritrea. Now in Ethiopia, they found each other again through their shared passion for competitive cycling.
Eritrean refugee cycle team trains to compete internationally. Filimon is an Eritrean refugee living in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
He was separated from his family and friends one year ago. He found hope and friends again through his passion.

A refugee coach in Ethiopia helped set-up the team. They formed a team of six refugee cy-clists. Cycling is their full-time job. They are supported by their families.
The team handle all equipment purchases and maintenance. They train regularly and have weekly training schedules. They cycle up to 200 km daily.
They dream one day of competing internationally as professional cyclists.
