Storyline

Young refugee women and Pakistani actress Mahira Khan took to the stage on the second day of a conference discussing the future of Afghan refugees.

The speakers highlighted the aspirations and dreams of young Afghans and advocated for more education opportunities for women.

The two-day conference kicked off Monday (17 Feb) in Pakistan’s capital, Islamabad.

Speakers included Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan, UN Secretary-General António Guterres and UN High Commissioner for Refugees Filippo Grandi.
