Young refugee women and Pakistani actress Mahira Khan took to the stage on the second day of a conference discussing the future of Afghan refugees. The speakers highlighted the aspirations and dreams of young Afghans and advocated for more education opportunities for women. UNHCR

We need women as leaders, as policy makers, athletes, artists and any other role you can think of. By education, I am not just limiting it to academic education, by education I mean this is the most powerful tool you can empower women.”
