“I'm very grateful to the city of New York and to this wonderful staff here in Adlai E Stevenson school in the Bronx, for the vaccine I just got. And to say how important it is for everybody, everywhere, to be vaccinated, and my appeal is for all to take profits of the opportunities that exist and be vaccinated as soon as they can. And I want to express my gratitude to the city of New York, for having included the UN staff and the diplomats in their vaccination program.”

Receiving his first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine today, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said he felt “very grateful,” and urged everyone to get “vaccinated as soon as they can.”
In a tweet, he also said “we must get to work to make sure the vaccine is available to everyone, everywhere. With this pandemic, none of us are safe until all of us are safe.”
