World leaders started arriving today (20 Sep) at United Nations Headquarters for the 77th session of the General Assembly’s General Debate, after two years of after two years of virtual and hybrid summits wrought by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The high-level General Debate is being held from 20 to 27 September at the UN headquarters in New York.
The General Assembly is the main deliberative, policymaking, and representative organ of the United Nations. It is composed of representatives of all member states of the UN, which meet in annual sessions dedicated to discussions on current issues of critical importance to the international community.
