“’All weapons sources at our disposal’ implies the possibility of using weapons of mass destruction, including nuclear weapons. And such a threat is unacceptable. Ukraine is being bombed by missiles and the rest of the world is being bombed by high prices of electricity if you add food, which creates inflation, which makes the central bank reacting raising interest rates, which create financial trouble, which is low growth, which creates unemployment. And this is a vicious circle. The whole world is paying the consequences of this war.”

The High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy of the European Commission, today (21 Sep) said Russian President Vladimir Putin is “doubling on a failing strategy,” and stressed that “by the threat of using nuclear weapons, he's trying to intimidate Ukraine and all countries that support Ukraine.”
Borrell, who was briefing reporters on the situation in Ukraine, said, “he will fail. He has failed and he will fail again.”
The European official said Putin’s announcement that Russia would use all weapons sources at their disposal, “implies the possibility of using weapons of mass destruction, including nuclear weapons. And such a threat is unacceptable.”
He said, “the international community has to react in front of this threat.”
Borrell said Russia’s “intention to annex territories occupied by force since February 2022 and to hold a sham referenda will not change their legal status.”
