Receiving the United Nations medal is always a matter of pride for Blue Helmets.

SOUNDBITE (English) Lieutenant-General Mohan Subramanian, Force Commander, UNMISS:
“Today, in six decades, you are the second-largest contributor of uniformed police and military manpower to United Nations Peacekeeping in the world. My congratulations to you for this stupendous contribution.”

This colorful and meaningful ceremony included displays of traditional martial art, military readiness as well as stunning cultural performances from Nepal.

Successive rotations of Nepalese peacekeepers have won hearts and minds through their efforts to build trust among local communities.
