My son Ahmad suffers from testicular cancer, and it must be removed, but there’s no treatment here for him.”

She’s suffering from brain cancer, and malnutrition, and hopefully this trip for treatment is going to be for her own benefit and to a full recovery by God’s will.”

“Today, we succeeded to evacuate 5 patients along with their companions and also, we provide the supplies for life saving medication for Al-Ahli hospital and Sahaba Hospital in Gaza City for a total beneficiary of 20,000 patients. And we sent also fuel to support the generator to return the functionality of the two hospitals.”

Storyline

The World Health Organization (WHO) and partners transferred five paediatric patients - four cancer patients and a patient with second degree burns - from Al-Ahli hospital yesterday to Nasser Medical Complex.

The five patients will continue receiving care there until the cancer patients are able to leave Gaza for specialised care.

Over 10,000 people need medical evacuations outside Gaza. WHO calls for their sustained medical evacuation and timely passage via all possible routes.

WHO also delivered medical supplies to cover the health needs of 20,000 patients at Al-Ahli and As-Sahaba hospitals along with 19,000 litres of fuel. In addition, the rotation of 8 Palestine RCS team members to southern Gaza, who were working in the north over the past few weeks, was also supported.
