“Of course, this…another…a nonconsensual politicized draft will make absolutely no effect in the ground as the previous ones. It may only unfortunately only embolden the parties of war in Europe, in the States and in Ukraine of course. And they will try to pretend that this kind of support of international community for their efforts to keep Zelenskyy’s regime.”

5. SOUNDBITE (English) Dmitry Polyanskiy, Deputy Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Russian Federation:
“I don’t think that anybody who is sane is thinking that Russia is targeting our own nuclear plant given the fact that are 4 others power plants in other regions of Ukraine which are not under our control. It would be very much logical for us to target those ones if we wanted to inflict damage in nuclear safety in Ukraine.”

7. SOUNDBITE (English) Dmitry Polyanskiy, Deputy Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Russian Federation
“Kherson, the Zaporizhzhia, regions Donetsk Lugansk are part of Russian federation according to Constitution. There is no way we are going to give them back, of course. And it’s not because we are stubborn but because of the will of people who are living in these areas. So, who know what will be the third attempt, what will remain of Ukraine at this moment, is very hard to predict. So, I would not take such a chance if I were in Ukrainian shoes.”
