5. SOUNDBITE (Arabic) Dr Fadel Naeem, Director, Al Ahli Hospital:
“On this occasion, we truly extend our thanks and appreciation to all those who support the health sector in the Gaza Strip, and especially the World Health Organization for their continued support for hospitals. But still the hospitals of the Gaza Strip are still suffering a lot from the shortage of many medical consumables and requirements, and the lack of fuel; as the fuel that reaches the hospitals is barely enough for the hospital for several days. We still need larger quantities of diesel, we need medical consumables, and we also need specialized medical delegations to provide treatment for patients who need complex operations. We also stress on the necessity of opening the borders in order for the patients and wounded to be able to leave Gaza Strip for treatment.”
6. Various shots, medical supplies being unloaded from the WHO truck
7. Various shots, health workers unpacking and inspecting various medical supplies
