“There are numerous locations outside, of the agreed zone of cessation of hostilities, that require special coordination to be accessed. A huge number of the population is residing there. WHO is doing a special coordination to reach these areas and secure the safe vaccination of all children under 10 years old.”

“Today we have just received the vaccinations from the World Health Organization, and we are starting to immediately vaccinate children against a new disease that has spread in the Gaza strip which is polio. By God's will this vaccination will protect our children—from the age of one day until the age of ten years—from polio. Vaccination is very important, and we thank all those in charge of this campaign from the Ministry of Health and the World Health Organization and by God's we will hope to reach all the children in the community. Thank you very much.”
