“My name Hassan Yakubu. My area (community) is Angwan Gulangulum. I was sitting in our house at night when the water (floodwater) suddenly rushed in. Some people came to rescue us from the floodwaters and brought us to Bakassi Camp. Right now, we are hungry, and poverty is everywhere. I have lost my friends, our schools, and all our belongings. Look, we just arrived here. It was by God’s grace that we escaped the water and made it to Bakassi Camp.”
