International Telecommunication Union (ITU)’s Secretary- General Doreen Bogdan -Martin said, “Our destiny is in our hands… and the digital future is now.”
Today (23 Sep), in the context of the Summit of the Future, the interactive dialogue titled ‘Towards a Common Digital Future: Strengthening Inclusive Innovation and Cooperation to Bridge the Digital Divides’ was held at the UNHQ in New York.
Co-hosting the dialogue, Estonia’s President Alar Karis said, “We believe in the benefit of co-creating, reusing and co-developing already existing solutions to save resources and avoid duplication. This should be our common guiding principle, to bridge the divides faster.”
He also said, “Multistakeholder cooperation and partnerships, both domestically and globally, are the foundation of an open digital society.
