“In the State of Palestine, while striving to play a positive role in response to global challenges, we are regrettably further burdened by Israel’s illegal occupation and aggressions in the Gaza Strip and West Bank, including East Jerusalem. For over 76 years, our people have been forced to endure multiple man-made catastrophes that have directly undermined our efforts to achieve justice, peace, and prosperity. As I speak before you, our people in Gaza are enduring one of the darkest chapters in modern history.”

“The remarkable resilience of our people, even in the face of ongoing atrocities, renews our confidence that they will heal and rise from this tragedy. It is now our collective duty to stop the aggression and to expand this resilience beyond the social sphere, into our economy, infrastructure, and all areas of development.”

The State of Palestine’s Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa today (23 Sep) told the Summit of the Future’s Plenary that for over 76 years, the Palestinian people “have been forced to endure multiple man-made catastrophes that have directly undermined our efforts to achieve justice, peace, and prosperity,” adding that while world leaders gather in New York, “people in Gaza are enduring one of the darkest chapters in modern history.”
In the State of Palestine, Mustafa said, “while striving to play a positive role in response to global challenges, we are regrettably further burdened by Israel’s illegal occupation and aggressions in the Gaza Strip and West Bank, including East Jerusalem.”
He said, “the remarkable resilience of our people, even in the face of ongoing atrocities, renews our confidence that they will heal and rise from this tragedy. Palestine has demonstrated social resilience at the national level, with our communities standing strong in unity and perseverance.
