Secretary-General António Guterres arrived today (04 Aug) at the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDC3) in Awaza, Turkmenistan. He met with the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
Guterres expressed his gratitude and congratulations to President Berdimuhamedov for hosting the Conference and the generosity of the government.
More than 20 heads of State and governments and some 3,000 delegates from international organizations, civil society, youth, academia and the private sector are expected to attend the Conference.
