3. SOUNDBITE (Spanish) Gustavo Petro, President, Colombia:
“They say the missiles fired in the Caribbean were meant to stop drugs. It is a lie, uttered here on this very site. 2023 and 2024 were the years where the most cocaine was seized and more than 700 drug lords were extradited to the United States and Europe. I extradited them. And the cocaine was seized by my government. And we didn't fire a single missile or kill any young people.”

“That is why I invite the nations of the world, and their peoples in particular, as part of humanity, to unite armies and weapons. Palestine must be liberated. I invite the Asian armies, of the Slavic peoples who defeated Hitler with such heroism, to the Latin American armies of Bolivar, of Garibaldi, who also had one in Italy, of Martí, of Artigas, of Santa Cruz. We heard too many words already; it is the hour of the sword.”
