The three Kordofan states remain a hotspot area with significant displacement. Since late October 2025, over 88,000 people have fled the region. The region now hosts more than 1 million internally displaced people across the three states. Some displaced families from Kordofan have reached Gedaref State, where they are receiving shelter, nutrition support, and health services at UNICEF-supported reception centres.
