“Yesterday, Hezbollah joined Iran and launched missiles and drones toward Israel, openly declaring they were avenging the deaths of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. It showed the Iranian terror regime over the people of Lebanon. It opened fire on Israeli civilians. Israel responded with precise strikes on Hezbollah military targets, command centres, weapons storage sites and senior operatives. More than a year has passed since the UN Security Council reaffirmed that Resolution 1701. That resolution is very clear: Hezbollah must disarm and withdraw from southern Lebanon. More than a year later. It has done exactly the opposite. It has rebuilt, rearmed. And today we see them in the south of the Litani River. They should not be there.”

“So let there be no confusion. Rockets pointed at Israeli homes will not remain there. Terror on the border will not be allowed to stand. We will act decisively and we will finish the job.”

“We all know declarations do not stop terror, only action does. We expect the Lebanese government to restrain Hezbollah, take control. Act now, to prevent further escalation.”

“To those who choose to terror against Israel. Understand this: we will find you. We will hunt you down, and we will eliminate you. Just look at our record: Yahya Sinwar from Hamas, eliminated. Hassan Nasrallah, the leader of Hezbollah, eliminated. Abu Hamza Rami, the commander of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad in Lebanon, only yesterday, eliminated. And at the very top, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the regime supreme leader, eliminated. Earlier today, the IDF issued a direct message to any Iranian regime representatives still in Lebanon. Leave within 24 hours. There will be no safe place for you.”

“This is not strategy. It is desperation. It is a regime lashing out like a rabid animal, dangerous to everyone around it. Now imagine for a moment that the same regime with nuclear warheads assembled onto those ballistic missiles. Imagine the danger not only to Israel, but to the entire world. That is why we acted. Every hour that passes, we further degrade the missile capabilities. So to the people in the region and to the people in Israel, we tell them, be patient. Give us some more time. It will not continue forever. We are committed to our objectives. No nuclear weapon, no myth or threat, no terror infrastructure left standing.”

Israeli Ambassador Danny Danon said Israel carried out “precise strikes” on Hezbollah military sites and senior operatives after Hezbollah launched missiles and drones. He warned that threats to Israeli communities “will not be allowed to stand” and vowed to “finish the job.”
Ambassador Danon spoke to reporters today (3 Mar) in New York.
He said that on Monday (2 Mar), “Hezbollah joined Iran and launched missiles and drones toward Israel, openly declaring they were avenging the deaths of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. It showed the Iranian terror regime over the people of Lebanon.”
Ambassador Danon also said that it is more than a year since the UN Security Council reaffirmed the Resolution 1701 that Hezbollah must disarm and withdraw from southern Lebanon. “More than a year later,” he said, “it has done exactly the opposite. It has rebuilt, rearmed. And today we see them in the south of the Litani River. They should not be there.”
The Israeli Ambassador also urge the Lebanese government to “restrain Hezbollah, take control. Act now, to prevent further escalation.”
Ambassador Danon said, “to those who choose to terror against Israel. Understand this: we will find you. We will hunt you down, and we will eliminate you.”

The Israeli Ambassador also said that earlier today, the IDF issued a direct message to any Iranian regime representatives still in Lebanon. “Leave within 24 hours. There will be no safe place for you,” he added.
Pointing to a map that shows Iran’s missiles launching into neighboring countries, Ambassador Danon said, “This is not strategy. It is desperation. It is a regime lashing out like a rabid animal, dangerous to everyone around it.”
He continued, “now imagine for a moment that the same regime with nuclear warheads assembled onto those ballistic missiles. Imagine the danger not only to Israel, but to the entire world.”
Ambassador Danon said, “every hour that passes, we further degrade the missile capabilities. So to the people in the region and to the people in Israel, we tell them, be patient. Give us some more time. It will not continue forever.”
He concluded, “we are committed to our objectives. No nuclear weapon, no myth or threat, no terror infrastructure left standing.”
