On 2nd April 2026, more life-saving support has arrived in Lebanon. Over 134 cubic metres of essential medical supplies have reached the country, thanks to the support of the European Union Humanitarian Aid (ECHO) and Dubai Humanitarian.
This critical shipment strengthens Lebanon’s capacity to deliver urgent health services amid the ongoing crisis. The supplies include trauma emergency surgical kits, essential medicines, and diabetes care materials—supporting hospitals, primary health care centres, and services in shelters. Around 6,000 patients requiring emergency and trauma care, and 4,000 people living with diabetes, are expected to benefit.
After traveling across multiple countries, the shipment entered Lebanon through the Masnaa Border, reinforcing the national health response led by the Ministry of Public Health.
At a time of growing needs, this support is vital to ensure continuity of care, protect vulnerable communities, and save lives.
WHO remains committed to working closely with national partners to ensure equitable access to essential health services for all partners is essential to sustain the response, prevent disruptions to critical services, and safeguard health outcomes for affected populations.
