“I'm calling on the office of the secretary general to launch an official investigation into anti-Israel bias among UN officials and in UN reports, an investigation into how anti-Semitism is normalized in this institution, how hate speech is excused, how false allegations against Israel are amplified by those who are supposed to be impartial. The UN cannot claim to fight anti-Semitism and hate speech, while its own officials engage with it, excuse it, and spread it. The time for silence is over.”

“We have direct negotiations with the Lebanese government. We believe in those negotiations. I think it's very fruitful. But my question is, why do we need Iran in Lebanon? Why they are engaging? Why they're putting conditions? At the end of the day, Lebanon belongs to the Lebanese people, to the Lebanese government. And for us, we have no desire to stay in Lebanon. Eventually, we want to pull back to Israel and to allow the Lebanese military to take over those positions. One thing is for sure; we will not allow Iran and Hezbollah to come back to where they were at our border.”

“We fight with a terrorist organization that hides behind civilians, behind UN officials. We accomplished a lot. We pushed Hezbollah to different locations. Hezbollah is still in Lebanon, and I think we should look at what we achieved now and make sure that they are not coming back to those positions. And that is the dialog we are having with the Lebanese government. We want to hand them the keys to those locations, but we have to make sure they are staying there and they are not moving when Hezbollah will try to come back.”

Israel's ambassador to the United Nations, Danny Danon, called for an investigation into what he called 'anti-Israel bias' at the UN and laid out his government's position on Israeli-held territory in southern Lebanon at a press encounter.
“I’m calling on the office of the Secretary-General to launch an official investigation into anti-Israel bias among UN officials and in UN reports,” Israel’s ambassador said.
Danny Danon, Israel’s Representative to the UN, issued that call to reporters today (24 Jun) at UN headquarters in New York City, where he also addressed ongoing negotiations over Israeli-held positions in southern Lebanon.
Danon said Israel is engaged in direct talks with the Lebanese government and questioned Iran's involvement in Lebanese affairs.
“We have direct negotiations with the Lebanese government. We believe in those negotiations. I think it's very fruitful. But my question is, why do we need Iran in Lebanon? Why they are engaging?
