“After another night of horror, we are at a residential building that was hit at around 3 a.m. last night by a hypersonic missile. Two other buildings were also struck, along with two additional missile impacts in the surrounding area. In this building alone, ten people have been confirmed killed so far. Rescue teams are still searching for another ten people, and it is my understanding that those missing include two children. This is terror against the civilian population. The frequency of these attacks on Kyiv, and the devastating impact they are having on civilians, is simply unacceptable. This carnage has to stop. International humanitarian law is very clear: civilians should never pay the price of war. Lives should not be destroyed as we are witnessing yet again. Allow me also to acknowledge that, once again, rescue workers are here—from the emergency services, the military administration, the police, as well as humanitarian organizations such as Rokada and the Ukrainian Red Cross. They are doing everything they can to support people through these first moments of grief, providing food, psychological support and legal assistance. I want to express my deepest respect to all rescue workers and humanitarian organizations who continue, with determination, to stand by people and support those who are suffering.

On the night of 6 July, Kyiv City endured yet another large-scale combined drone and missile attack, causing civilian casualties and widespread damage to homes, schools and other civilian infrastructure across the capital and surrounding areas.
At least 12 civilians, including a family with a child, were killed, and nearly 60 others, including children, were injured in Kyiv City, while nearly 30 additional civilian casualties were reported across Kyiv Region.
Search-and-rescue operations continued throughout the day as emergency responders searched for people trapped beneath the rubble. Multiple apartment buildings and other civilian facilities, including the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, sustained damage.
Beyond the capital, between 3 and 6 July, more than 350 civilian casualties were reported nationwide, with the Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson, Sumy and Zaporizhzhia regions among the hardest hit.
Attacks also damaged or destroyed energy infrastructure and fuel facilities in several regions. Humanitarian partners, including local NGOs and UN agencies, continued to provide emergency assistance, including psychological first aid, emergency shelter, protection services and cash assistance to affected families.
