Speaking at the AI for Good Summit today (8 Jul), Secretary-General of ITU Doreen Bogdan-Martin said, “Our agency is the power to keep humanity in the loop, to decide whether, when, and how AI acts on our behalf.”
AI for Good Summit is organized by ITU in partnership with over 50 UN partners and co-convened with the Government of Switzerland. The Summit aims to unlock AI’s potential to serve humanity.
It brings stakeholders together to harness AI’s potential to solve global challenges. It aims to empower people with the tools and knowledge to thrive in the AI era—nurturing the future wave of innovators. It provides solutions and knowledge by developing AI standards to create more opportunities for innovation and digital transformation worldwide. It examines the current state of AI standardisation and explore the evolving role of emerging AI technologies and standards in supporting policy frameworks and innovation.
