It has been five days since an earthquake devastated this tiny island nation, and rescue workers continue to work around the clock to find more survivors.
There extensive damage to roads throughout Haiti that has left many areas in the city such as Trugeau, Pakot and Canape Vert inaccessible to rescue and aid workers.
Yesterday (16 Jan), international rescue workers made thirteen more live rescues bringing the total to 71 people. The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) reported a small number of additional rescues made today but information on possible survivors appears to be dwindling.
Most of the worst affected areas of Port-au-Prince have been searched by the 43 international search and rescue teams with 1,739 rescue workers and 161 dogs.
