It has gone from being a hotel for taxi drivers in thet own of Sevare in Mopti, northern Mali to a makeshift camp for displaced Malians.
Seventy families, nearly six hundred people are living here some have been here for months.
Boubacar Traore worked as a mechanic in a village in the north until he fled with him family 14 people to Mopti.

While the mood among IDPs is to return, shortages of food, clean water and fuel are dissuasive.
So are the lack of services like schools and transport.
Fatimata Sidi Haidrara rented this little house when she arrives with her six children.
Even working as a nurse is not enough to feed her extended family.
She is also behind on the rent.

Most of the North is back under the control of Government and accompanying forces but the area is still not secure.
And so, the displaced have to wait for a bit longer to return home.
