The World Food Forum Startup Innovation Awards, powered by Extreme Tech Challenge, is a global startup competition showcasing innovators who are harnessing the power of technology to drive agrifood systems transformation in support of ending global hunger and achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. Eight finalists have been selected out of 127 entrants for their outstanding innovation, entrepreneurship and promising potential for a positive impact on agrifood systems.

The 2023 Science and Innovation Forum of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the UN (FAO) will be opened by the FAO Director General and high level global figures in science and innovation, such as Ministers and prominent scientists. The opening will highlight the importance of science and innovation for climate action. It will also advocate for more collaboration and experience sharing to step up agrifood systems transformation.
