Hilary Beckles, Vice-chancellor of the University of the West Indies and Chairman of the CARICOM (Caribbean Community) Reparations Commission, addresses the 64th plenary meeting of General Assembly held in commemoration of the abolition of slavery and the transatlantic slave trade to mark the International Day of Remembrance of the Victims of Slavery and the Transatlantic Slave Trade.
