General Assembly Debates Legitimacy of International Mechanism for Investigating, Prosecuting Crimes in Syria

Catherine Marchi-Uhel, Assistant Secretary-General and Head of the International, Impartial and Independent Mechanism to Assist in the Investigation and Prosecution of Persons Responsible for the Most Serious Crimes under International Law Committed in the Syrian Arab Republic since March 2011, addresses the General Assembly meeting and noted that 2024 marked the thirteenth year of death, displacement and grave violations of human rights in Syria as she presented the Mechanism's tenth report.
