IDPs in Kitshanga, DRC after Heavy Fighting

Residents of Kitshanga, Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), sit among ruins in the aftermath of heavy fighting between FARDC, the national armed forces of the DRC, and APCLS (Alliance des Patriotes pour un Congo Libre et Souverain), an armed group. It is estimated that about 5,000 people were displaced and at least 90 were killed.
