Storyline

Former Myanmar refugee Thant Zin Maung returned home last year from Thailand. After years in a rural camp, he and his family are now adjusting to their new life in big city Yangon.

SOUNDBITE (Burmese) Thant Zin Maung, Refugee Returnee:
“Yangon is changing a lot. The car and transportation systems have changed. Technology has improved. I can get information on how to take the bus on my mobile phone.”

Thant Zin Maung and his family lived in a Thai camp for 10 years.

His boys were born there. Now the family has come home.

Thant Zin Maung is being trained to care for the elderly.

SOUNDBITE (Burmese) Thant Zin Maung, Refugee Returnee:

The return home has given the family hope.
