UNMIL Peacekeepers Prepare for Troop Withdrawal
The United Nations Mission in Liberia (UNMIL) is withdrawing its military presence from the country on 8 February, as part of the termination of its mandate scheduled for 30 March, 2018. UNMIL was established in September 2003 to monitor a ceasefire agreement in Liberia, following the conclusion of the Second Liberian Civil War.
