A two-day special meeting on Syria started today (25 Jan) in the framework of the UN facilitated Geneva political process and in full implementation of Security Council Resolution 2254.

The bi-lateral meeting was held between the Syrian Government Delegation headed by Bashar Jaafari, the UN Permanent Representative of the Syrian Arab Republic and the UN Special Envoy for Syria, Staffan de Mistura on the premises of the United Nations at the International Vienna Centre in Vienna, Austria.
